Welcome to IchDB!

IchDB is a user-updatable database of information about the Ichthyophthirius multifiliis genome sequence determined at The J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI). IchDB provides information on the genome, genes, and proteins of Ichthyophthirius collected from scientific literature, the research community, and many other sources.

We are pleased to announce the 2018 GSA Ciliate Molecular Biology Meeting that will take place July 17-22, 2018 at American University in Washington DC. We hope you will join us for this interactive and engaging meeting covering broad topics in ciliate molecular biology. This is a beautiful venue on the American University Campus with a new conference center and housing and an entertaining surrounding community. Flights into Reagan Washington or Dulles airports will accommodate our international ciliate community.

Please mark your calendars. More meeting information will follow.

IchDB is the new hub for information about the genes and proteins of the ciliated protozoan Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. IchDB currently displays the most recent gene/protein sequences and functional annotations for this species from the J. Craig Venter Institute and other sources. In order to keep the information in our database as current as possible, we invite members of the Ich research community to add and update these annotations to reflect published research. Check back here for updates as we continue to develop and improve this website.
